On Jan. 8, 2013 at 8:13 p.m., Public Safety documented an electronic copyright infringement at the request of Information Resources and Technologies.

On Jan. 8, 2013 at 9:56 a.m., Public Safety documented a theft from motor vehicle in west St. Paul. A St. Paul Seminary staff member reported a St. Thomas-issued laptop and other personal property were stolen from his unsecured vehicle.  PublicSafety_Briefs_PHOTO

On Jan. 9, 2013 at 2:20 a.m., Public Safety responded to suspicious activity in Morrison Residence Hall. Two St. Thomas students, who fled from officers after one fell and injured his hand on the Upper Quad, were identified by officers. The injured student was assisted and escorted home.

On Jan. 9, 2013 at 3:34 p.m., Public Safety responded to an marijuana odor in Schulze Hall. Suspected marijuana residue was found in a stall in the second floor men’s restroom.

On Jan. 10, 2013 at 8:36 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on the 2100 block of Grand Ave. A St. Thomas employee and ELS student’s vehicles collided. Both vehicles were damaged, but no injuries were caused.

On Jan. 10, 2013 at 10:27 p.m., Public Safety documented a vehicle accident in Morrison Residence Hall R3 ramp. A St. Thomas student reported she struck a pole in the ramp while attempting to exit. It caused minor damage to the vehicle she was operating.

On Jan. 11, 2013 at 12:43 a.m., Public Safety responded to public urination on the Lower Quad. Three underage intoxicated unaffiliated people, one of whom was urinating on a flagpole, and an underage intoxicated St. Thomas student, were sent off campus with sober caregivers.

On Jan. 11, 2013 at 7:09 p.m., Public Safety documented a neighbor complaint on the 1600 block of Wellesley Ave. A St. Thomas neighbor was concerned about an abundant amount of trash overflowing from a property on the block.

On Jan. 12, 2013 at 12:26 a.m., Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a marijuana odor in Murray Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student was found in possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia. An underage St. Thomas student was found in possession of alcohol.

On Jan. 12, 2013 at 8:52 a.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in the Byrne Residence. Officers assisted a BYR resident, who had fallen and could not get up under his own power. The resident declined further medical attention.

On Jan. 13, 2013 at 8:13 p.m., Public Safety documented a loitering violation on the 600 block of Nicollet Ave. The Minneapolis Police Department reported two non-St. Thomas-affiliated suspects, using suspected marijuana, were arrested for loitering with intent to buy or sell narcotics.

On Jan. 13, 2013 at 11:11 a.m., Public Safety documented a theft on the 2100 block of Marshall Ave. A St. Thomas student reported her unsecured laptop was stolen from her off-campus residence by an unknown guest during a gathering at the residence.

On Jan. 14, 2013 at 4:41 a.m., Public Safety reported suspicious activity in Morrison Residence Hall R3 ramp. Several lewd images and message were found etched in dust collecting on a St. Thomas vehicle parked in the ramp.

On Jan. 14, 2013 at 9:04 a.m., Public Safety documented a theft in O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. An Information Resources and Technologies staff member reported four St. Thomas laptops were stolen from an IRT inventory storage area in lower level OEC.
