Public Safety briefs – March 10, 2015

On March 1, 2015 at 1:24 a.m. Public Safety documented a policy violation in the Morrison Hall Public Safety office. A St. Thomas student’s purse, turned in as found property inventory, was found to have a fraudulent ID.

On March 1, 2015 at 9:28 p.m. Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department medics responded to a medical in St. John Vianney. Medics assisted a St. Thomas guest who fainted and later taken home by a family member.

On March 3, 2015 at 7:34 p.m. Public Safety documented suspicious activity in the Morrison R3 parking garage. A St. Thomas student reported that her car was spit on.

On March 4, 2015 at 10:18 a.m. Public Safety documented suspicious activity in the Morrison Hall Public Safety office. The parent of a St. Thomas student reported his student was receiving unwanted electronic contact from a non-St. Thomas affiliated person.

On March 4, 2015 at 8:15 p.m. Public Safety documented a complaint in the Morrison Hall Public Safety office. A non-St. Thomas affiliated individual reported a flier he found offensive was left in a locker room while his daughter was competing at an event on campus.

On March 5, 2015 at 9:18 p.m. Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Dowling Hall. A Residence Life staff member reported that an unidentified student reported she was followed home from work by a male co-worker.

On March 6, 2015 at 1:04 p.m. Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Anderson Student Center. A St. Thomas employee reported seeing an unidentified male panhandling in the T’s dining area.

On March 7, 2015 at 12:17 a.m. Public Safety assisted the spouse of a St. Thomas employee with a welfare check in Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex. The employee, who the spouse was attempting to reach, was later contacted by phone and was okay.

On March 7, 2015 at 12:28 a.m. Public Safety responded to a disturbance outside of Cretin Hall. Officers identified an intoxicated non-St. Thomas affiliated individual, who was reported as running around screaming, and trespassed the individual from campus.

On March 8, 2015 at 1:16 a.m. Public Safety reported a DWI in Lot A. An underage guest of two St.Thomas students was found sleeping in a vehicle, and the students were later found to have consumed alcohol in Ireland Hall.

On March 8, 2015 at 3:16 a.m. Public Safety and SPFD medics responded to an intoxicated person in Morrison R3 parking garage. A significantly intoxicated St. Thomas student of legal age was experiencing severe abdominal pains and taken to an area hospital.

On March 9, 2015 at 7:29 a.m. Public Safety responded to a 911 call in Flynn Hall. A St. Thomas student involved in a personal dispute, speaking with a family member by phone, was determined to have inadvertently dialed the number.

On March 9, 2015 at 8:08 a.m. Public Safety documented fraud in the Morrison Hall Public Safety office. A St. Thomas employee reported multiple unauthorized purchases were charged to his St. Thomas-issued credit card.

On March 9, 2015 at 8:13 a.m. Public Safety documented property damage in the S1 parking garage. A St. Thomas employee reported the door handle of a St. Thomas vehicle was damaged because of unknown circumstances.
