Emily Kindelspire, justice and peace studies and family studies major, 3.8 GPA

Kindelspire is from New Hope, Minn. She participates in VISION, Students for Justice and Peace, Feminist Community, Aquinas Scholars and Delta Epsilon Sigma.

Kindelspire said she reconsidered whether St. Thomas was the right school for her during her first year on campus, but she now said bringing her study abroad experience back to St. Thomas and “finding (her) place” on campus is her greatest accomplishment. She said traveling on VISION trips as both a participant and a leader are her favorite memory of St. Thomas.

Last month, Kindelspire aided her pregnant sister through labor and delivery, something she said many students likely don’t know about her.

Kindelspire said she will spend time traveling the Pacific West Trail after she graduates, but she is also contemplating joining the Peace Corps.
