2014 Tommie Award Nominee: Joseph Wistrcill

Joseph Wistrcill, psychology and English double major, 3.91 GPA

Wistrcill is from Cumberland, Wis. His on-campus activities include: Aquinas Honors Scholars, Delta Epsilon Sigma, Omicron Delta Kappa, track and field, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, THIRST and a bible study group. He is also a hip-hop dance choreographer for PULSE.

Wistrcill said his greatest accomplishment at St. Thomas was setting the school and conference record for 60 meter hurdles, and he said storming the field after the 2010 Tommie-Johnnie football game is his most cherished St. Thomas memory.

Wistrcill said some people might not know that he raps under the stage name Reverse Mechanic and said he has upcoming shows and singles waiting to be released.

After he graduates, Wistrcill said he hopes to find a job and focus on his rap career. He said he wants to eventually make a living off his music.
