Mullee takes third place in 100 backstroke

All-American swimmer Peter Mullee took third place in the 100-yard backstroke Friday evening at the NCAA Division III National Swimming and Diving Championships.

Mullee, who is an academic junior but is in his last year of athletic eligibility, finished with a time of 48.72 seconds at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.

He finished more than a second slower than his conference time of 49.59 seconds.
