In hope of preventing a Russian invasion of Ukraine, world leaders are making another diplomatic push. Heavy shelling continues in Ukraine’s east as the Kremlin considers recognizing the independence of the separatist regions there.

The White House said that President Joe Biden had agreed “in principle” to meeting with Russian President Vadimir Putin if he refrains from an increasingly likely assault on Ukraine.

Queen Elizabeth II has tested positive for COVID-19. She is experiencing mild, cold-like symptoms. The diagnoses prompted concern and get-well wishes from across Britain’s political spectrum.

On Sunday, the palace said the Queen, who is fully vaccinated and had a booster shot, will continue with light duties at the Windsor Castle.

Minnesota troopers have arrested a driver suspected of being involved in multiple shootings during a new targeted speeding enforcement effect on highways around downtown Minneapolis.

This comes during a 10-day initiative that started on Feb. 14 to crack down on speeding and criminal activity, particularly on Interstate 94 between downtown and I-694.
