Mallory Burnham, Christina Rozeske, Erika Tipp and Emily Van Heel placed fifth in the preliminary round of the women’s 4×100 meter relay with a time of 47.35 in the NCAA women’s track and field outdoor championship.

Sophomore pitcher Colin Wendinger threw six innings of shutout baseball to lead the top-ranked Tommies against Benedictine University (Ill.) 10-1 in a must-win game Thursday, in the NCAA Midwest Regional tournament.
