Class of 2015 likely smaller than last year’s freshman class
Kris Roach, St. Thomas’ director of admissions and financial aid, said 1,330 first-year students are currently planning to attend St. Thomas this fall, although she said this number can change throughout the summer.

Interim men’s basketball coach hopes to continue Fritz’s legacy of success
Longtime assistant coach John Tauer has been named interim head men’s basketball coach for the 2011-2012 season after Steve Fritz retired as head coach Thursday. Tauer is entering his 12th season as a coach, spending the past 11 years as Fritz’s right-hand man.
Steve Fritz: 44 years with Tommie basketball
Fritz was the head basketball coach for 31 years. He has coached 16 MIAC regular-season championship teams and has led St. Thomas to the conference playoffs 23 of the last 24 seasons.
Steve Fritz retires as men’s basketball coach
Coach Steve Fritz announced his retirement as the head coach of the men’s basketball team. He will continue as the athletic director, and assistant coach John Tauer will step up as the interim head coach for the 2011-2012 season.
