Women’s sports gain popularity, despite low media coverage

According to a Tucker Center study, 40 percent of athletes in the U.S. are female, but only 4 percent of media coverage goes toward women’s sports.

In the third period, the St. Thomas women’s hockey team exploded for three goals en route to a 3-2 win against Eau Claire Friday, the team’s first victory this season.
