Women’s basketball narrowly escaped its first defeat of the season with a 62-55 victory over unranked Marymount in the Sweet Sixteen game of the NCAA Division III tournament to earn its 30th win.

The St. Thomas women’s hockey team traveled to Plattsburgh, New York Thursday to compete in the first round of the NCAA tournament Saturday against No. 1 Plattsburgh State at Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena.

Women’s hockey squad draws No. 1 Plattsburgh in NCAAs
The unranked St. Thomas women’s hockey team will play No. 1-ranked Plattsburgh State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Saturday.
Augsburg defeats St. Thomas in conference championship
Augsburg forward Corbin Chapman scored the winning shot with 5:45 left in the third period Saturday night at St. Thomas Arena, claiming the MIAC championship title and advancing the Auggies into the NCAA playoffs.
