Students create BookStoreTimes to fill textbook buyback gap

Students now have the ability to trade, buy and sell textbooks with BookStoreTimes, an online application created by St. Thomas students.

Student Affairs announced Nov. 19 that 23 seniors are nominated for the Tommie Award, an honor given annually to a senior who best represents St. Thomas through scholarship, leadership and campus involvement.

Ranallo is from Lino Lakes, Minn. He is the Climbing Club president, German club vice president and an off-campus student services student adviser. 

2013 Tommie Award Nominee: Thomas Hannon

Hannon is from St. Paul, Minn. He is the co-president of Student Athletic Advisory committee and has been a captain of the men’s basketball team for the past two seasons. 

2013 Tommie Award Nominee: Kristyn Brisnehan

Brisnehan is from Colorado Springs, Co. She has been a Tommie Ambassador, tour guide and TEACH club member for all four years at St. Thomas.

Barriga is from Lino Lakes, Minn. She was elections and credentials chair for the Undergraduate Student Government, is a STAR marketing intern and plays intramural soccer.

Aldhafeeri is from Saudi Arabia. He was vice president of the Saudi club and has been a member of the Globally Minded Student Association, MSA, Amnesty International club and the Futbol club.

Anderson is from Wadena, Minn. She has been a student leader and bible study leader for CRU and worked at the Ireland Memorial Library circulation desk.

Hendricks is from St. Paul, Minn. She is the Student Alumni Council president and Student Legacy vice president. Hendricks co-chaired homecoming, senior banquet, and “It Takes More Than Tuition Day.”

2013 Tommie Award Nominee: Curtis James

James is from Edina, Minn. He is an offensive lineman for the St. Thomas football team and was co-host of the Fall Pepfest.
