Last week St. Thomas students traveled across the Mississippi River to the University of Minnesota to join community members and students in an event called One Million Hoodies.

Mashup Media Inc. is a cloud service that will eventually offer its users unlimited storage for owned music, a profile to display taste preferences and an online store to purchase songs. The goal is to target people who are proud of the music they own and want to display it.

No one was injured when a red pickup truck careened into several parked vehicles Saturday, knocking over a lamp post and hitting the right field fence at North Athletic Field.

St. Thomas students training to run through mud, fire and electrical wires

Some St. Thomas students are competing in Tough Mudder, a 12-mile obstacle course. It’s designed by the British Special Forces and has 28 unique obstacles. 

Coach Ty Stenzel named 2011 Division III Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year

Ty Stenzel, the strength and conditioning coach at St. Thomas, has been named 2011 Division III Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year by Samson Equipment and American Football Monthly.

Students sacrifice their wardrobe to raise awareness about modern-day slavery

Extending Christ’s Hope to Others, or ECHO, is a campaign created to educate college students about a variety of causes. The St. Thomas group is encouraging students to purchase a T-shirt and wear it every day in April. They hope to raise funds and awareness about modern-day slavery.

Students finding it difficult to get back into school routine after spring break

St. Thomas law school provides incorrect information, loses U.S. News ranking

The St. Thomas law school was dropped out of the U.S. News and World Report rankings after the school accidentally provided incorrect information regarding employment rates after graduation. U.S. News placed the university in its “unranked” category; it had been tied in rank with seven other schools at No. 119.

All-American Hannon seeks fifth year with men’s basketball team

Senior Tommy Hannon, an All-American center on the St. Thomas men’s basketball team, had his 2011-2012 season cut short after suffering a knee injury. 

Students scavenge for last minute housing

St. Thomas students have started to look for housing during the last weeks of school to find accommodations for the 2012-2013 school year. Some students are still trying to move on campus, while others are looking for off-campus housing.
