Students see pros and cons in yearbook’s digital shift
Last year the Aquinas yearbook went digital. This year it’s making another transition to a digital magazine format, as well as creating a free application for smartphone and iPad owners.
Sigma Chi cleans up the neighborhood
Some St. Thomas neighbors expect trashed lawns on Sunday mornings from weekend parties, so the St. Thomas Sigma Chi fraternity decided to do something about it.

Student debt on rise, Obama announces measures to help
This year total outstanding student loan debt passed $1 trillion, now exceeding credit card debt. Kris Roach, St. Thomas’ director of admissions and financial aid, said St. Thomas student debt averages to approximately $21,486 for federal loans.

St. Thomas’ Hairworks permanently closed
The barbershop was scheduled to move to the Anderson Student Center until the cost of providing manicures and pedicures became too much of a business risk.
Students submit projects to improve campus sustainability
The university’s Sustainability Committee is reviewing project proposals from students, faculty and staff. The winning proposal will be picked by the semester’s end.
