Invisible Children club spreads word about Ugandan violence
More than 150 students gathered Tuesday night in the John R. Roach Center auditorium to watch a film and listen to a personal account of the violence child soldiers are subjected to in northern Uganda.
Students were able to gain an understanding of the violence occurring in Uganda as well as the Invisible Children organization’s role in stopping child soldier training and the massacre of innocent citizens.
Facebook apps leak user information, students annoyed
Several popular Facebook applications have been giving users’ personal identifying information to dozens of advertising and Internet tracking companies.
Homecoming events feature first dance in new athletic complex
This year’s homecoming events will include St. Thomas’ first dance in the new Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex field house Saturday night.
There was no homecoming dance last year because of construction. The dance will last from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m., and students should expect “a top-notch experience”, said Associate Director of Campus Life Matthew Gustafson.

The first of two St. Thomas homecoming sweatshirt giveaways took place Thursday night in the Lower Quad and outside the Brady Educational Center.
Guatemala trip helps former journalist explore faith and become rabbi
Rabbi Will Berkovitz worked as a journalist for a number of years after graduating from St. Thomas in 1991.
But when he was sent to Guatemala to write a story, Berkovitz realized he wanted to do something completely different with his life.
Health Services offers flu shots in Murray-Herrick
