Swim, run, bike: Tommie Triathlon gives students a work out
Students could compete as individuals or as a team in the first-ever Tommie Triathlon, sponsored by the Wellness Center. Students ran, swam or biked for a total of 1 hour.
Tauer makes rare second trip to Final Four
John Tauer, assistant men’s basketball coach and psychology professor, is making his second appearance in the NCAA Final Four. His first, as a junior on the men’s basketball team, was in 1994.

The men’s basketball team beat Augustana 72-56 Saturday night in Rock Island, Ill. to advance to the Final Four. The Tommies will travel to Salem, Va., for their next game.

The St. Thomas men’s basketball team is headed back to the Final Four for the first time in 17 years.
The Tommies, led by senior Tyler Nicolai’s 28 points, beat Augustana 72-56 Saturday in the NCAA Division III Elite Eight in Rock Island, Ill.
