Public Safety briefs

On April 8 at 1:33 p.m., Public Safety documented a noise/party complaint on the 2000 block of Marshall Avenue. A UST neighbor reported ongoing concerns regarding several residences on the block.

On April 8 at 2:55 p.m., Public Safety documented a policy violation in Morrison Hall. Two UST students were found to have provided fraudulent attendance information to their campus employer.

On April 8 at 3:05 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft in O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center. A UST student reported a banner for the Senior Class Gift Committee was stolen.

On April 8 at 7:14 p.m., Public Safety reported a policy violation in Morrison Hall. A UST student provided fraudulent transfer records to their academic department.

On April 9 at 12:45 a.m., Public Safety documented public urination on the 2100 block of Selby Avenue. The St. Paul Police Department reported an unidentified individual urinating in a yard on the block fled to another residence when approached by the officer.

On April 9 at 12:49 a.m., Public Safety documented a neighbor complaint on the 1600 block of Concordia Avenue. The Saint Paul Police Department reported they cleared approximately 40 people from a residence on the block.

On April 9 at 4:21 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center. A case of beer with empty beers cans was found in a fourth floor study room and disposed of by officers.

On April 10 at 4:17 a.m., Public Safety responded to vehicle damage on the 2000 block of Ashland Avenue. A UST student reported a group of UST students forcibly removed the spoiler from their vehicle.

On April 10 at 6:24 a.m., Public Safety responded to a request for assistance the intersection Cleveland Avenue and Carroll Avenue. A non- UST affiliated individual, initially reported stuck on the roof of a building, was located walking away from the building and was OK.

On April 10 at 6:47 p.m., Public Safety reported property damage in LOT B. A UST student’s parked vehicle was struck by baseball, damaging the rear window.

On April 10 at 6:53 p.m., Public Safety reported a theft outside of Terrence Murphy Hall. A UST student reported the rear tire was stolen from their bicycle, which was secured to the TMH bike rack.

On April 11 at 5:08 p.m., Public Safety reported a policy violation in LOT A. Three UST students were advised on a multiple occasions not to perform skateboard tricks on campus property.

On April 12 at 1:42 a.m., Public Safety and the Minneapolis Police Department responded to an intoxicated person outside of Minneapolis Opus Hall. An unidentified intoxicated person found sleeping in the alley behind MOH refused to identify himself to officers and left campus on foot prior to MPD’s arrival.

On April 12 at 12:15 p.m., Public Safety reported a policy violation in Brady Residence Hall. A UST student who removed the screen from the window in their residence was advised to replace the screen.

On April 12 at 12:34 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center. A UST employee reported finding empty beer cans located in the sub-level of LIB.

On April 12 at 6:35 p.m., Public Safety responded to a medical near LOT C. A UST guest, who tripped and fell and suffered a facial injury, was assisted by officers and declined further medical attention.

On April 13 at 9:01 a.m., Public Safety documented a traffic complaint at 10th Street and Harmon Place. A non-UST affiliated individual reported the UST shuttle turned into the crosswalk as the individual was crossing the intersection on foot.

On April 13 at 3:28 p.m., Public Safety reported fraud in Morrison Hall. A UST student reported they shipped a laptop that they never received payment for as a result of a fraudulent online transaction.

On April 13 at 4:20 p.m., Public Safety reported theft at 32 Finn St. A UST employee reported an unsecured USB drive was stolen from the waiting area.

On April 13 at 6:05 a.m., Public Safety reported a policy violation in LOT A. A UST student’s vehicle was found to have an altered expired parking permit.

On April 13 at 11:28 p.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to an intoxicated individual on the 2100 block of Summit Avenue. An intoxicated UST student of legal drinking age was transported by SPPD to Detox.
