Public Safety briefs

On April 25 at 9:31 a.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in the Anderson Student Center. A UST student who cut their thumb while working in ASC was escorted by officers to Student Health Services.  logo_PSBriefs1-300x300

On April 25 at 3:27 p.m., Public Safety documented property damage outside of Flynn Residence Hall. The landscaping retaining wall on the northeast side of FRH was struck, knocking down a portion of the wall.

On April 26 at 6:49 a.m., Public Safety documented a theft from vehicle on the 1600 block of Wellesley Avenue. A UST student reported the front passenger side window of her vehicle was smashed and her backpack was stolen, but was later recovered off campus.

On April 26 at 9:39 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft in Morrison Hall. A UST student reported her laundry was taken from the third floor west laundry room.

On April 27 at 1:31 a.m., Public Safety and SPPD responded to public urination on the 2100 block of Summit Avenue. A UST student urinating near the UST shuttle stop was identified by officers and cited by SPPD.

On April 27 at 7:46 p.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in McCarthy Gym. A UST student who was feeling ill was assisted by officers and was sent home with a friend.

On April 28 at 1:59 p.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department medics responded to a medical in Anderson Athletic & Recreation Center. A UST student who injured his leg while working out was transported by medics to an area hospital for further medical attention.

On April 28 at 6:27 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft on the 2000 block of Goodrich Avenue. A UST neighbor reported three unidentified individuals who attempted to steal a children’s playset from their yard fled when the neighbor confronted them.

On April 29 1:23 a.m., Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a liquor law violation in Flynn Residence Hall. Nine underage UST students and five underage guests were found to have consumed and were in possession of alcohol, three of the students were also intoxicated and were sent home with family members.

On April 29 at 11:24 a.m., Public Safety documented a noise complaint on the North Athletic Field. Music being played during UST baseball team activities was turned down as a result of a complaint received from a UST neighbor.

On April 30 at 5:32 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft outside of O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. A UST student reported her secured bicycle was stolen from the bike rack on the south side of OEC.

On April 30 at 7:41 p.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Koch Commons. A UST student who fell and injured her leg while rollerblading was assisted by officers and declined further medical attention.

On May 1 at 12:16 a.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department medics responded to a medical in Flynn Residence Hall. A UST student who suffered a seizure was transported by medics to an area hospital for further medical attention.

On May 1 at 4:12 p.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Murray-Herrick Campus Center. An unidentified individual, who activated a pull station without authorization, could not be located upon officer’s check of the area.

On May 2 at 8:18 a.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Lot G. A UST employee reported he believed an unidentified individual was misusing a handicap parking permit to park in the lot.

On May 2 at 7:46 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft outside of Murray-Herrick Campus Center. A UST student reported his secured bicycle was stolen from the southeast MHC bike rack.
