Vickers is from South St. Paul, Minnesota. He has been involved as a resident advisor in Ireland Hall and an apartment coordinator in Flynn Hall, president of the Student Alumni Council, president of the Sports Business Club, vice president of the Spanish Club and a Tommie Ambassador and tour guide.

He has also held leadership positions in two university-related volunteer organizations as St. Thomas Ambassador Crew Captain for Love Your Melon and a bus leader for Students Today Leaders Forever. Vickers is especially passionate about his volunteer work with Love Your Melon because he gets to interact and spend time with the children he is helping. He enjoys donating hats to children battling cancer in hospitals and dressing up like superheroes to visit them in their homes.

His greatest achievement at St. Thomas has been being the president of two different clubs. Vickers helped make the Sports Business Club an official UST Opus College of Business Club and helped the Student Alumni Council go through a rebranding and reorganization campaign.

Vickers said his favorite memory from St. Thomas was storming the field after winning the Tommie-Johnnie game earlier this fall because of the amount of school pride and community he felt at that time.

In the future, Vickers wants to work in the fields of advertising and promotions for a large company. He hopes to one day pair his love of marketing with his ability to speak Spanish to work in international business or travel abroad for a company.
