Barron Sanchez lives in Austin, Minnesota but was born in Mexico City, Mexico. She has been involved on campus as the student liaison for the Board of Trustees’ Student Affairs Committee, a Linkages program intern for the Student Diversity and Inclusion Services, resident advisor and operations manager in John Paul II Hall, community service officer for Public Safety and research assistant for the sociology department.

Her greatest achievement at St. Thomas was becoming an Excel! Research Scholar for her research with the sociology department. Barron Sanchez said the program paved the way of success that she didn’t know how to find on her own.

Barron Sanchez enjoys watching movies with friends in her free time. One of her favorite memories at St. Thomas was attending Valley Scare with her friends and Student Diversity and Inclusion Services.

She said her theme song would be “Girl on Fire” by Alicia Keys. If she had a superpower, it would be telekinesis because she could always use an extra hand.

In the future, Barron Sanchez wants to become a lawyer. Recently, she has been interested in the role of public defender.
