Athletic staff and Health and Human Performance faculty are moving out of O’Shaughnessy Hall to make way for construction of the Anderson Athletic Complex, which opens next August.

“People were asked to have their stuff packed up and ready to go when we returned on Jan. 4,” said Linda Halverson, scheduling manager. “Everybody did that, and they’re in. They’re settled and they seem to be relatively happy.”

Faculty and staff are placed in temporary locations throughout campus including the faculty/staff dining room, Murray-Herrick clock tower, and for one professor, a trailer outside of McCarthy Gym.

Following the relocation of Financial Aid and ROTC, Halverson said this was the third and final transitional move faculty and staff will make because of the new athletic center and student center.

“In a few months they’re going to have this brand new space, and a new facility to serve our students,” Halverson said. “Everybody can see that goal.”
