St. Thomas President Julie Sullivan and Vice President of Inclusive Excellence Kha Yang will hold extra office hours Tuesday, Sept. 17 and Wednesday, Sept. 18 in response to last week’s racist incident in Ireland Hall.

Sullivan and Yang will be available for 15-minute increments on a first come, first serve basis in Aquinas 100 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 17 and from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 18.

Students interested in making an appointment should contact the president’s office at (651) 962-6500.

In an email from Sullivan’s office, the reason for the extra office hours is to address “students’ concerns and thoughts,” about the racist word written in the bathroom of Ireland Hall, as well as hear responses about how the university handled it.
