It’s not everyday that you wake up and decide to swim 26.2 miles in one month’s time. While this may appear to be the unimaginable for many, for 2012 St. Thomas alumnus Jillian Wright, the decision to tackle such a feat was quite real.
Despite strong pitching from pitcher Katie Jo Delisle, the softball team fell to Central College 2-1 Sunday in Pella, Iowa, eliminating it from the NCAA tournament.
With the win, the Tommies clinched their first MIAC tournament title since 2010 and the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
