Two of the best Division III running backs in the country, St. Thomas senior Colin Tobin and Wisconsin-Whitewater senior Levell Coppage, shared the spotlight as high school stars in the Chicago suburb of Oak Park. The two square off for the first time in Saturday’s NCAA Division III semifinals
Men’s basketball nets 86-64 win over Macalester
Junior John Nance’s 15 points helped the men’s basketball team (7-1 overall, 4-0 MIAC) overcome a slow first half to defeat Macalester (0-7, 0-4) 86-64 Wednesday evening at Schoenecker Arena.

The St. Thomas women’s basketball team opened MIAC conference play with a 69-60 win over Gustavus Saturday in its first home game of the season.

Senior Tommy Hannon’s 21 points led the St. Thomas men’s basketball team (5-1) over Gustavus Adolphus College (2-2) 79-61 Saturday at home.
