A 19-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the leg early Friday morning while at Plums Neighborhood Grill and Bar, according to the St. Paul Police Department.

St. Paul police said they responded to a report of shots fired at the bar, located on the corner of Randolph and Snelling avenues, at around 12:30 a.m. where they found the man lying on the sidewalk outside of the bar. The bar is a hangout for local college students.

The victim said he was in the bar when he heard a loud pop and realized he had been shot.

“When officers arrived on scene, they were met with a chaotic scene with numerous people leaving the bar,” St. Paul Police Sgt. Natalie Davis wrote in a statement.

When contacted by TommieMedia, a Plums employee said no one was available to make a statement at this time.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

The man was rendered aid and transported to Regions Hospital with not life threatening injuries, police said.
