St. Thomas Campus Ministry will hold an outdoor candlelight vigil next Wednesday for Erika Cruz and Kailin Wang, two St. Thomas students who both died the last week of February.

The vigil will take place at 7:30 p.m. next to the prayer garden, where a future student memorial statue is planned, according to an email sent from the St. Thomas Newsroom Thursday.

Cruz, a first-year student, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, in Rochester from injuries suffered in a car crash that according to Olmsted County authorities involved an impaired driver.

Wang, an international student from China, was found dead in his off-campus apartment Friday, Feb. 26.

Because the gathering is limited to 25, attendees must RSVP. Contact Campus Ministry at campusministry@stthomas.edu with questions.
