Officials: Remains of Minnesota boy missing since 1989 found
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office confirmed in a statement that “Jacob Wetterling’s remains have been located” and that the Ramsey County medical examiner and a forensic odontologist identified them Saturday.
Meet Canvas, Blackboard’s potential replacement
For the first time, Information Technology Services is launching a pilot called Canvas to potentially replace Blackboard, a virtual classroom that has been used by St. Thomas faculty and students since 2002. About 100 students this fall and 400 students this spring will test Canvas.

Rebranded orientation in full swing
On July 11, St. Thomas welcomed the next generation of Tommies by kicking off the Orientation and Registration program for first-year students. Over the next couple of months, around 1,350 freshmen will go through O&R with about 150 students attending each of the ten sessions — and that’s not including transfer and international students.
St. Thomas holds annual Asmat Art gala
The American museum of Asmat Art at the University of St. Thomas held its 2016 Spirits of Summer Asmat Gala on July 20 in Woulfe Alumni Hall in the Anderson Student Center.
St. Thomas student to run for state legislature
This September, nearly 200,000 undergraduate students will be enrolled full-time at a Minnesota college or university. This November, 268 Minnesota residents will run for state legislature. One person will do both.
