Former Tommie pitcher becomes a Saint
Former St. Thomas pitching ace Matt Schuld’s path to Major League Baseball has taken a slight detour. Schuld was cut by the Minnesota Twins organization in late March but will play his first game as a St. Paul Saint in May.
St. Thomas’ Bigelbach perfect, softball sweeps St. Mary’s
The win runs the Tommies’ conference streak to 52 games, and the team has won its last 12 games in a row.

Sophomore Steve Maher and junior Dylan Thomas posted dominating pitching performances as the No. 5-ranked St. Thomas baseball team swept St. John’s University in a doubleheader Wednesday at home.

Freshman pitcher Kendra Bowe has played a pivotal role in the St. Thomas softball team’s 19-5 record. In 17 appearances, she has ten wins and leads the team with a 1.22 ERA.

Tommie Spotlight: Bryce Gapinski
St. Thomas senior Bryce Gapinski pitched his first game in 2009 to help the Tommies win a national championship. So far this season, Gapinski has a 3-0 record and a 22-5 career record.

St. Thomas varsity crew team rows into spring season
Fresh off of training in South Carolina over spring break, the St. Thomas varsity crew team is making strides. In May, the team will compete in the Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta, which is the largest U.S. intercollegiate rowing event.
