Hodgson inducted into hometown Hall of Fame
Tom Hodgson, St. Thomas swimming coach was inducted into the 22nd annual Rochester Quarterbacks Club Hall of Fame Monday night. The Rochester Quarterbacks Club is an organization concerned with promoting Rochester sports and supporting the University of Minnesota.
Pitching duo leads baseball team to doubleheader sweep of Macalester
Strong pitching sealed the St. Thomas baseball team’s 3-2, 3-1 sweep of Macalester in a doubleheader Wednesday at home.

Sophomore sprinter Emily Van Heel is a three time All-American track and field athlete. In four indoor and outdoor seasons, she has been the Tommies’ top point scorer in every conference championship meet she has participated in.

Home sweet home: Rugby returns to St. Thomas after 20 years
The St. Thomas Rugby Club made its return to campus Saturday, April 14, after a 20-year absence. The team dominated Carleton 36-0, and senior Ryan Petterson led the way with two tries.
Lowery named new men’s soccer coach
Jon Lowery, a former professional soccer player in both the United States Soccer League and Major League Soccer, was the men’s soccer coach at Hamline for the last three seasons.
Men’s lacrosse defeats University of Minnesota
The St. Thomas men’s lacrosse team defeated the University of Minnesota 8-3 Sunday afternoon at TCF Bank Stadium. The Tommies used the victory to bounce back from a 7-6 loss to St. John’s in Collegeville on Saturday.
Men’s tennis falls to St. Olaf for first conference loss
St. Olaf College defeated the St. Thomas men’s tennis team 7-2 Saturday in St. Paul. The Tommies lost two of their initial three doubles matches, which put them in a hole once their singles matches began.
Waldvogel adds another honor, wins first Bobby Bell award
Waldvogel completed his senior season with record-setting numbers and was selected for the award from players at all 26 Minnesota college teams in Division I, II and III.
