Softball sweeps St. Ben’s, secures MIAC title

The St. Thomas softball team had 8-0 and 4-1 victories over St. Benedict’s Monday at home. The wins allowed the No. 16-ranked Tommies to secure the MIAC regular season championship and the top seed for next weekend’s conference playoffs.

Danna’s dreams of football abroad end

Former St. Thomas standout linebacker Tony Danna had been negotiating a deal with the Franken Knights, an American football team from Germany, but after getting hip X-rays done, his dreams to play football in Europe ended.
