Public Safety briefs

On Nov. 6 at 1:26 a.m., Public Safety reported criminal damage to property in Brady Residence Hall. A window screen was forcibly removed from a sixth floor window and found damaged in the restroom.

On Nov. 6 at 2 a.m., Public Safety and Residence Life Responded to a noise complaint in Flynn Residence Hall. A UST student of legal drinking age was found to have provided alcohol to an underage UST student, who was impaired and was sent home with a sober caregiver.

On Nov. 7 at 11:39 p.m., Public Safety documented a student concern in Morrison Hall. A UST student concerned about unwanted contacted from a non-UST affiliated acquaintance was advised of resources by the St. Paul Police Department.

On Nov. 8 at 7:15 a.m., Public Safety documented criminal damage to property on the 2200 block of Summit Avenue. A UST student reported the front passenger side window of a second student’s parked vehicle was smashed.

On Nov. 9 at 8:47 a.m., Public Safety reported criminal damage to property on the MacPhail building. Red spray paint graffiti was found on the north exterior wall.

On Nov. 9 at 9:16 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft in the lower level of O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center. An ELS non-resident student reported his unsecured headphones were stolen.

On Nov. 10 at 12:31 p.m., Public Safety documented a suspicious incident on the 2100 block of Selby Avenue. A report of a possible burglary at a residence on the block was determined to be unfounded upon investigation by the St. Paul Police Department.

On Nov. 11 at 2:30 p.m., Public Safety documented a medical in Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex. A UST student reported they received a facial injury while working in the building and sought medical attention at an area hospital.

On Nov. 11 at 11:11 p.m., Public Safety responded to a suspicious incident in Flynn Residence Hall. A UST student shining a laser pointer at other students from their residence was identified by officers, and the pointers were secured as found property inventory.

On Nov. 13 at 12:48 a.m., Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a liquor law violation in Dowling Residence Hall. An underage intoxicated UST student was sent home with a parent.

On Nov. 13 at 9:45 a.m., Public Safety documented an assault on the 1700 block of Dayton Avenue. A non-UST affiliated individual reported a UST student, who was the victim’s acquaintance, struck him, resulting in facial injury.

On Nov. 14 at 10:30 p.m., Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a suspicious odor of marijuana in Ireland Residence Hall. An underage UST student was found in possession of marijuana, marijuana-related paraphernalia and alcohol.

On Nov. 15 at 5:10 a.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department responded to a medical in Murray Residence Hall. A UST student who was feeling ill was assisted by Medics and was provided a taxi to an area hospital for further medical attention.

On Nov. 15 at 1:59 p.m., Public Safety responded to a disturbance on the 2100 block of Summit Avenue. An intoxicated non-UST affiliated individual, who attempted to board a UST shuttle, was trespassed from campus and left via Metro Transit Bus.

On Nov. 17 at 2:27 p.m., Public Safety documented a medical in O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. A UST employee reported that a student reported to her that she experienced a seizure, but declined any medical assistance the employee offered.

On Nov. 17 at 10:28 p.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation outside of Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas. An intoxicated underage guest of a UST student was sent home with a parent.

On Nov. 19 at 2:23 a.m., Public Safety responded to a disturbance in Morrison Hall. Seven underage UST students were found to have consumed and were in possession of alcohol, and a guest was found present in violation of visitation hours.

On Nov. 20 at 12:05 a.m., Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a suspicious odor of marijuana in Ireland Residence Hall. Two UST students and a guest were found to have used marijuana, and the students were also found in possession of alcohol, marijuana and related paraphernalia.

On Nov. 20 at 8:40 a.m., Public Safety documented criminal damage to property in LOT E. Black spray paint graffiti was found on a dumpster in the lot.

On Nov. 21 at 5:23 p.m., Public Safety received report from the St. Paul Police Department of a burglary of a private dwelling on the 1700 block of Ashland Avenue. A UST student was arrested by for burglary and an outstanding warrant.

On Nov. 22 at 12:59 a.m., Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a liquor law violation in Morrison Hall. Staff responding to a noise disturbance found an underage UST student and anunderage guest had consumed alcohol.

On Nov. 22 at 6:11 p.m., Public Safety documented a suspicious incident on the 2000 block of Grand Avenue. A reported vehicle that followed a UST student’s vehicle to campus was determined to be a UST vendor with business on campus.
