Football crushing Cobbers 36-0 at half

Halfback Josh Parks scored twice in the first half against Concordia-Moorhead Saturday at Jake Christiansen Stadium, leading St. Thomas to a 36-0 lead after two quarters of play.

Parks led the Tommie ground attack with 59 yards on eight carries against the Cobbers. Tom Loeffler added a 1-yard touchdown run at the end of the half.

Quarterback Jacques Perra completed 10 of 17 pass attempts for 130 yards, one interception and a touchdown. Perra’s lone score came on an 8-yard connection to fullback Stephen Wagner in the first quarter.

The Tommies defense forced three fumbles in the first half, the final of which was returned 40 yards for a touchdown by linebacker Adam Brant at the end of the first quarter.

The last time the Tommies played in Moorhead, quarterback Alex Fenske threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Nick Waldvogel with two seconds remaining to win 23-20.
