Football dominates Carleton 68-0

The Tommies continued their first half dominance with back-up players playing the majority of the second half, ending the game with a 68-0 victory over the Carleton Knights on Saturday at O’Shaugnessy Stadium.

Quarterback Ronnie Jones connected with wide out Joe Hird for the first passing touchdown of the game. Jones would later score on a 24-yard touchdown run before being pulled for third string Cade Sexauer.

The half backs continued to dominate in the second half. Half back Stephen Wagner scored on a 23-yard run in the third, followed by full back Joshua Komis scoring on a one-yard touchdown run.

Halfback Josh Parks rushed for 198 yards and scored three touchdowns on 13 carries, his longest run being a 60-yard scamper late in the second quarter. Halfbacks Jack Foley and Tom Loeffler also scored touchdowns and combined for 60 yards.

The Tommies defense locked down the Knights offense, allowing 61 yards and recording two interceptions.

Quarterback Jacques Perra went 10 for 18 on passing attempts for a total of 100 yards. Despite not having a passing touchdown, Perra was managed to sneak past the Knights defense for a three-yard touchdown.

The last time the Tommies played the Knights, the Tommies won 63-0.
