Donald Trump will make history as the first former president to stand trial on criminal charges as his hush money case opened today with jury selection.

Trump is charged with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records as pat of a scheme to bury stories that he feared could hurt his 2016 campaign.

World leaders are urging Israel not to retaliate after Iran launched an attack involving hundreds of drones, ballistic missiles and cruise missiles.

British foreign secretary David Cameron told the BBC on Monday the U.K. does not support a retaliatory strike, while French president Emmanuel Macron said Paris will try to “convince Israel that we must not respond by escalating.”

The UN’s secretary-general on Sunday called for “maximum restraint” and deescalation in the Middle East.

The FBI has opened a criminal investigation into the cargo ship that slammed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge and caused it to collapse in Baltimore last month.

Two senior law enforcement officials familiar with the investigation said the investigation will look into whether the crew left the port knowing the vessel had serious shipping problems.
