Former President Donald Trump will surrender and be arraigned in front of a New York City court on Tuesday due to criminal charges surrounding a 2016 hush money payment. This will be the first time a former president has faced criminal charges.

Trump’s legal team says the former president will not plead guilty to lesser charges, even if it resolves the case.

A conviction would not stop Trump from being able to run for president in 2024.

Finland became the 31st member of NATO on Tuesday in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Finland joins the alliance on the 74th anniversary of its founding, ending 75 years of the nation’s neutrality.

Moscow warned that it will be forced to take “retaliatory measures” due to threats created by Finland joining the organization.

Forecasters are warning of more severe weather Tuesday and Wednesday in parts of the South after deadly storms a few days ago.

Severe storms could produce strong tornadoes and large hail Wednesday across the Midwest, reaching as far east as Ohio and as far west as Illinois according to the Storm Prediction Center. The severe weather threat extends southwestward across parts of Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee, and Arkansas.
