Over the weekend, the Coronavirus death toll in China rose 15%. This raise brought information of 3,062 new cases.

Prior to this raise, there had been a strong string of daily declines. This string had given optimism that the containment measures that had been in action had been working, said a government spokesman. After this raise, optimism of current containment measures have lowered.

The Minnesota Twins agreed Sunday to trade bullpen prospect Brusdar Graterol to the Los Angeles Dodgers for their starting pitcher, Kenta Maeda. Kenta Maeda started 103 games within his four-season Dodger career.

The Twins agreed to send one of their picks from the competitive round this summer, 67th overall. They also sent a minor leaguer to the Dodgers for $10 million dollars.

At the Undergraduate Student Government general council meeting last week, members of the Dean of Students spoke. An amendment to a club funding bylaw was approved.

Dean of Students Linda Baughman and Assistant Dean of Students Leah Fulton spoke about the work their office is doing on student retention, services available to first-generation students and students facing crisis.

More specifically, the office is working on building focus groups for first-generation college students to understand what is working and what is not working for those students.
