The St. Paul police department on Wednesday identified the victim of a fatal crash that occurred around 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, on cretin avenue.  In a tweet, SPPD stated that Randi lee stone, 30, of Minneapolis, died in the crash near the intersection.  

The head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency got a first-hand look Thursday at a creek contaminated by a freight train derailment in Ohio that spilled toxic chemicals and burned in a huge plume over homes and businesses.  The visit by EPA administrator michael Regan, who stood along a waterway still reeking of chemicals nearly two weeks after the derailment, came a day after residents of the Ohio village of east Palestine packed a meeting and demanded to know if they’re safe. 

The St. Thomas study abroad office is attempting a new approach to boost student engagement with its programs. During the height of the covid-19 pandemic, when opportunities to travel, and subsequently, study abroad were limited, the study abroad office took the opportunity to listen to students about the barriers to studying abroad, completing a survey in 2022 about the issues that prevented students from doing so.
