President Donald Trump was greeted in Hanoi, Vietnam Tuesday morning for a second meeting with North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un. The goal of the meeting is to denuclearize Un in exchange for relief of economic sanctions placed on North Korea.

They first met last June in Singapore, a summit that was long on historic pageantry but short in any enforceable agreements for North Korea to give up its nuclear arsenal.

The two leaders have a dinner planned Wednesday night and meetings all day Thursday. There is widespread skepticism among experts that it will give away that program cheaply.

In Minnesota, Interstate 35 in Owatonna reopened early Tuesday morning after a blizzard left a foot of snow covering the highway. Crew members are continuing work to clear the roads.
230 people took shelter this week at the National Guard Armory rather than face the impassable roads. Nearly 600 people have been rescued along highways across the state. A third of the rescuees were from Steele County.

Lastly, Australian Cardinal George Pell is the most senior Catholic cleric ever to be charged with child sex abuse. Cardinal Pell has been charged with molesting two choirboys following the celebration of Mass.

Cardinal Pell faces a maximum of 50 year prison term. Pell has faced several other allegations, dating back to the late 1970’s.

Pell had been the Pope’s top financial advisor and the Vatican’s economy minister.
