Russia claimed it foiled an attack by Ukrainian drones on the Kremlin early Wednesday, calling

it an unsuccessful assassination attempt against President Vladimir Putin. The Ukrainian president denied it, saying “We don’t attack Putin or Moscow.”

Putin wasn’t in the Kremlin at the time and was at his Novo-Ogaryovo residence outside Moscow, his spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russia’s state news agency RIA Novosti.

A woman identified as the wife of a Texas man suspected of killing five of his neighbors was arrested Wednesday, authorities said, for hindering the four-day manhunt for the man, who is also in custody.

Divimara Lamar Nava, 53, identified as the wife of suspect Francisco Oropeza, was in custody in connection with the Friday night shooting, according to Montgomery County Sheriff Rand Henderson.

Brazil’s Federal Police searched former President Jair Bolsonaro’s home and seized his phone Wednesday in what they said was an investigation into alleged falsification of COVID-19 vaccine cards.

Several other locations also were searched and a half-dozen people faced arrest, police said.

The president confirmed the search on his residence while speaking with reporters.
