Authorities say five people were arrested and several guns were recovered after a chase through several cities in the Twin Cities metro area Monday afternoon.

Minneapolis police say the pursuit began about two in the afternoon. When officers tried to stop a vehicle on the city’s north side. Police add, one of the people in the vehicle was wanted in connection with at least one shooting.

All five occupants were taken into custody. One of the weapons seized was a semi-automatic rifle.

An elevated section of the Mexico City metro track collapsed and sent a train plunging toward a busy boulevard late Monday, killing at least 23 people and injuring 79, according to city officials.

Rescuers found four bodies trapped inside a rail car that was dangling from the overpass but were unable to remove them. It’s not clear if those bodies were included among the 23 dead. A crane was brought in Tuesday to lower that car.

Mexican foreign relations secretary Marcelo Ebrard calls the collapse, “The most terrible accident we have ever had in mass transportation.”

April was officially Autism Awareness Month. Recently, however, advocates of Autism Spectrum Disorder have called for a shift in the month’s focus. Many feel that while raising awareness for A-S-D is important, encouraging acceptance of people with Autism is the more impactful goal.
