After more than three weeks of siege, the first Palestinians – dozens of dual passport holders and seriously injured – were allowed to leave Gaza. These Palestinians left through the Rafah crossing that goes from Gaza to Egypt.  

Israeli airstrikes hit refugee camps for the second day in a row, destroying apartment buildings and leaving many dead and injured. 

Communications and internet service were gradually being restored after the second major cut in five days, according to Paltel, the main service provider. Humanitarian aid agencies have warned that such a blackout severely disrupted their work in an already dire situation in Gaza.

The Trump brothers are set to testify in the New York civil fraud case that threatens their Trump organization’s future. Donald Trump Jr. is expected to testify Wednesday and Eric Trump on Thursday.  

President Joe Biden is headed to Minnesota to visit a family-run farm south of Minneapolis and hold a fundraiser featuring many of the state’s top Democrats, demonstrating political clout on the home turf of his new 2024 primary challenger, Rep. Dean Phillips.

The White House and Biden’s reelection campaign said the president’s trip to Minnesota was planned before Phillips announced his candidacy. The congressman is the only elected official from Biden’s party to campaign against him for the White House.
