Discount retail chain Dollar Tree announced Tuesday that it will be raising its prices to $1.25 for the majority of its products.

Faced with the rising cost of goods and freight, the increased prices will allow the company to cope with high merchandise cost increases as well as higher operating costs, such as wages.

The company expects a complete rollout of the new prices to occur in 8,000 dollar tree stores nationwide by early 2022.

President Joe Biden will require essential and nonresident travelers crossing U.S. land borders to be fully vaccinated beginning on January twenty-second.

These travelers include truck drivers, government and emergency response officials.

Essential travelers entering by ferry will also be required to be fully vaccinated by the same date.

American citizens and permanent residents may still enter the U.S. regardless of their vaccination status, but face additional testing hurdles.

A former middle school principal serving a prison sentence was found dead in a Minnesota jail on saturday.

Christopher Endicott had been sentenced for identity theft, stalking and burglary. Crow Wing County Sheriff Scott Goddard announced Endicott’s death late tuesday.

Endicott was jailed on a Minnesota Department of Corrections warrant and he had been released from prison earlier this month as a part of a program allowing inmates to live in the community under supervision.
