Minneapolis police said five people were injured after a man suspected in a carjacking crashed into a bakery and struck two vehicles, including a squad car, on Monday afternoon.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports the vehicle the suspect was in hit two teenage girls near the bakery before jumping a curb, hitting a streetlight and bursting into flames Monday afternoon.

Police say the two teenagers are in critical condition. A person inside the bakery suffered serious injuries and a fifth person refused medical attention.

The suspect is among the injured and his name was not released.

Police and protesters continued to clash in Hong Kong Tuesday. While China’s Communist Party marked 70 years in power with a military parade.

Protests in the former British Colony have prompted concerns that Beijing might intervene.

However, President Xi promised in a speech Monday to stick to a commitment to allow territory’s leaders to manage its affairs.

On Monday, Democrats subpoenaed Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s personal lawyer, who was at the heart of efforts to get Ukraine to investigate political rival Joe Biden’s family.

That was after one of Trump’s staunchest defenders, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he would have “no choice” but to consider articles of impeachment if the house approved them.
