With more than 40 million doses of coronavirus vaccines available, the U.S. health authorities say they’re confident there will be enough for qualified older Americans and the younger children for whom initial vaccines are expected to be approved in the not-too-distant future.

The spike in demand following last week’s federal recommendation on booster shots would be the first significant jump in vaccinations in months.

Facebook is putting a hold on the development of a kids’ version of Instagram, geared toward children under 13, to address concerns that have been raised about the vulnerability of younger users.

The University of Minnesota is taking steps to curb violent crimes in Dinkytown.

In May 2021, the number of crimes reached a peak of 129 total property and violent crimes in Marcy Holms neighborhood, with the majority as property crimes.

The Minneapolis Police Department says extra security cameras can help to decrease crime in the neighborhoods.
