St. Thomas students and faculty received a Timely Warning email from Public Safety on Tuesday afternoon providing information on several burglaries that recently occurred on campus.

Three burglaries took place on Feb. 19, Feb. 21 and April 1 at the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas, Facilities and Design Center and Schoenecker Center where several pieces of University-owned property and tools were stolen.

In the Timely Warning sent at 1:07 p.m. on April 2 Public Safety noted that using camera footage, they were able to link all of the burglaries to the same suspect.

They describe the suspect as “a male approximately 45-55 years of age, stocky build, wearing eyeglasses and a white N95 mask” and provided clothing descriptions of the suspect at each individual incident.

The vehicle of the suspect was described as “a dark-colored 4-door Chevrolet Malibu sedan with an unknown Minnesota license plate.”

Public Safety has reached out to the St. Paul Police Department with reports on each incident and they are actively investigating though no arrests have been made at this time.

The warning concluded with crime prevention tips and encouragement for anyone with information to call Public Safety.

This is a developing story that will be updated when more information is available.
