PHOTO SLIDESHOW: Snowfall on St. Thomas campus

After months of exposed brown grass and dirt in an unseasonably warm winter, the University of St. Thomas community awoke on Thursday, Feb. 15, to snow covering the St. Paul campus.

The National Weather Service reported that 6.9 inches of snow fell at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport, as of 12 a.m. on Feb. 15. According to the National Weather Service’s accumulated snowfall graphs, the total snow accumulation this winter before Thursday was 7.3 inches. The average snowfall accumulation for this time of year is 34.8 inches.
