The St. Thomas women’s hockey team mounted an upset victory against seventh-ranked Minnesota-Duluth, winning in a shootout after tying 1-1 in regulation Saturday in Duluth. The win earns the Tommies’ first WCHA points in 308 days.

First-year defender Haley Maxwell scored the tying goal in the third period to force overtime. Sophomore goalie Saskia Maurer made 48 saves in the match including six stops in overtime.

The Tommies women’s basketball team fell in a tight loss to Madison 72-64 Sunday afternoon in Madison. Sophomore center Jo Langbehn led all scoring with her career-high 21 points paired with 10 rebounds for her fourth double-double.

Men’s basketball pulled off a tight 76-70 victory over Idaho State Saturday. Graduate guard Riley Miller and first-year Andrew Rohde each scored 19 points.
