After 42 seasons of coaching Women’s Cross Country, head coach Joe Sweeney announced plans to retire from the University of St. Thomas at the end of the 2021 calendar year.

Sweeney helped the Tommies win 86 of 115 MI-AC team championships in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track during his tenure. Sweeney holds the most conference team crowns by any coach in Division three women’s sports.

Women’s volleyball extended their losing streak to five games after falling to Oral Roberts in three sets Thursday night at Schoenecker Arena.

First-year outside hitter Lauren Galvin racked up 10 kills in the Tommie’s first of four home matches in a row, all coming within nine days of each other.

St. Thomas football travels to the Sunshine State for the first time since 1949 to take on Stetson University Saturday at noon Central Time.
