The University of St. Thomas football team defeated Drake University 26-14 at its homecoming game Saturday at O’Shaughnessy Stadium. First-year running back Gabe Abel rushed for 100 yards and scored the first three touchdowns of his college career.

The St. Thomas Women’s hockey team earned its first win of the season with a 3-0 home victory over Franklin Pierce Friday. First-year forward Molly Grundhoffer scored her first collegiate goal.

A strong offense led St. Thomas volleyball to a three nothing win Saturday over Western Illinois for its first Summit League win of the season. First year outside hitter Tezra Rudzitis tied for the game lead in kills with 15 and notched her first career double-double as the Tommies took down the Leathernecks 25-20, 25-21, 25-13.

St. Thomas Women’s soccer lost its match-ups over the weekend against Nebraska Omaha and Denver.
