The St. Thomas football team defeated the 2-3 Dayton Flyers at Welcome Stadium in Dayton, Ohio 20-14 on Saturday. This marked the Tommies’ first time facing off against Dayton, the only member of the Pioneer League they had yet to play. St. Thomas emerged with a 20-7 lead at the half and held off the Flyers for the victory. The Tommies’ record is now 3-2, and 2-0 in the Pioneer League.

St. Thomas men’s soccer came back to tie the Kansas City Roos 1-1 on Friday at South field at home. Sophomore forward Dennis Mensah Jr. scored in the 65th minute to give the Tommies a 1-4-2 overall record.

The Minnesota Twins fell to the Colorado Rockies in a 3-2 comeback by Colorado in the 11th inning on Sunday at Coors Field in Denver. The Twins closed out the regular season with an 87-75 record, and will be facing the Toronto Blue Jays in game 1 of their playoff series on Tuesday.
