FOX 9+ will be broadcasting St. Thomas Athletic events for the 2023-24 season. The broadcast will include select events from football, basketball, and hockey games at St. Thomas, according to an announcement made on Tuesday by Director of Athletics Phil Esten.

“St. Thomas is proud to partner with FOX 9+ as we extend our media coverage to include broadcast TV in the local Twin Cities market,” Esten wrote. FOX 9+ is an extension to KMSP-TV’s over-the-air news broadcast that airs on weeknights at 7pm.

This marks the athletic program’s first broadcast TV deal, marking another milestone in St. Thomas’ Division I journey. FOX 9+ will air home sporting events for men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and womens’ hockey games, and the final four home football games of the 2023 season. The full schedule will be announced later this year.

In addition to FOX 9+, St. Thomas Athletics also announced a streaming partnership with Midco Sports in August. Midco Sports is a subscription-based platform that will host St. Thomas sports content. The content on both platforms will be produced by St. Thomas.

“As a university located in the heart of St. Paul, Minnesota, this is an exciting opportunity for our fans and student-athletes as we become the first athletic department in the metro area to sign a unique, multi-sport local broadcast deal,” Esten said.

FOX 9+ can be found on Comcast channel 10/807, DirecTV channel 29, DISH channel 29, Spectrum channel 10, Mediacom channel 10.803, and Over-The-Air channel 9.2. Fox 9+ will also be available on Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, FuboTV, and YouTube TV, according to an article on the St. Thomas Athletics website.
